BIO: Tom Jennerwein
Tom Jennerwein is a professional artist inspired by his grandfather's talent and the masterworks of Caravaggio and Rembrandt. His art reveals the hidden beauty of everyday life, crafting captivating illusions that draw viewers into each piece. A critical care nurse for 35 years, Tom found a therapeutic outlet in painting, especially with watercolors, which offer him the freedom to express his inner vision.
Balancing his nursing career and family life, Tom dedicated his free time to mastering oil, watercolor, and acrylic techniques. His love for watercolor is evident in his plein air sessions, where he embraces spontaneity and captures the vibrancy of nature. His work has gained recognition from local art centers, featured in Ink Magazine, and appeared on a local vineyard's wine label.
With a classical approach to oil portraits and a commitment to tradition, Tom also shares his knowledge as an instructor. His art captures life's wonders through vivid colors and delicate brushstrokes. Recently retired, Tom's focus on monoprints of organic botanical art further explores the elegance of nature, often enhanced with the soft hues of watercolor.
