A rough gemstone (also called a raw or uncut gemstone) simply refers to a gemstone that has not been cut and faceted.

Rough Stones tend to carry with them a visceral + raw power, while tumbled stones lean towards a more gentle vibration. "Rough" is how these stones come out of the Earth. The shapes are organic, and they normally lack the lustrous glamour tumbled pieces have. Rough stones have typically passed through less hands and have experienced less processing than the tumbled, polished, cut, or faceted stones.

peace, inspiration, growth, trust, letting go

PROPERTIES:: Aquamarine has a very serene, calming energy that can assist with reducing stress, quieting an overactive mind, and calling in an overall sense of peace. Aquamarine evokes the purity of crystal blue waters, and the feeling of calm that the sea brings. The stone is viewed as one that can bring about happiness and protection to all who travel near, or over water. It is also representative of clear communication straight from the heart. Known for its connection to the Throat Chakra, Aquamarine opens the lines of communication, and encourages self-expression. However, before doing so, Aquamarine soothes our innermost fears by helping us understand and interpret the underlying reason for our emotional blockages. This inspires monumental personal growth allowing us to be honest and open communicators. The unresolved, unfinished business that has been holding us back is now concluded, leaving behind the sense of closure that is necessary to heal, grow and inspire.
